Luella specialises in painting small watercolours of still-life subjects, and of gardens and flowers. She is very happy to paint ‘portraits’ of gardens,
and has taken numerous commissions through the years. Water features often in Luella’s paintings of gardens, and the same fascination with light
and reflections can be seen in her still-life paintings, where she frequently uses glass subjects, strongly lit.
Luella’s work can be seen in local galleries in Kent and Sussex, and is included in several private collections. In London, her paintings have been
shown and sold, at the open exhibitions of the Society of Women Painters, the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours, and the Royal
Watercolour Society.
A selection of her work will be available at an exhibition themed to coincide with the Tenterden and Cranbrook Food Festival held from the 1st to
the 4th November. Visit Food Art for more details of the venue and opening times. Contact with the artist can be made via Kristina.
